I just got my preordered D5300 and wanted to be the first to post a review. I've had six previous Nikon cameras from my film SLR to my D90. These days I'm a lazy photographer. I don't want to spend my shoots fiddling with the camera. I want the fun without the hassle. Frankly I want SLR quality with near point and shoot simplicity and for this, the D5300 fits the bill perfectly. This is the camera for those of us that "Just wanna have fun". However, if you really want to work for it, there's plenty here to work with.
